Highlights

Registry Editor

We have begun work on a new tool: Unify's Registry Editor! The classic Windows' Registry Editor does the job, but we aim to have an editor that has a modern look (with dark theme and tabs) and is handier by allowing you to quickly edit items inline. Some things we have in mind:

• History logs so you can undo mistakes.
• The ability to create shortcuts to common registry actions to make your life easier.

For now the basic functionality has been implemented, meaning you can:

• browse the registry with muiltiple tabs
• add/rename/delete keys
• add/rename/delete/modify basic values (binary is not yet supported)
• cut/copy/paste registry keys (with tree structure)
• search the registry

This will be improved upon in future versions.

Our internal Registry Editor works with Clipboard Quick Actions, so when you copy a registry key, you can quickly navigate to it.

  • Added an option to choose a custom data location for Unify (where its settings are stored) in the First Time wizard.

    • The refresh button in the games list will now reload all Libraries.
  • Stores
    • Battle.net: can now import purchased games.

• Tweaker

  • Can now add HTML content to a tweaker task which will be displayed when opening the task. The webviewer that is used by Tweaker is based on the internal webviewer, so you can use href command to perform actions, like running scripts. Refer to the help documentation.

• Folder Watcher

  • Added button in Watcher settings to change Windows' download folder location.

• Registry Editor

  • Settings
    • Can now drag & drop folders to the path variables listbox.

• Gaming

  • Editing
    • Improved deleting a game entry.
  • Wishlist
    • Clicking the Visit button while no URL has been specified will now open DuckDuckGo to search for the title.

• Clipboard

  • Quick actions
    • Improved detection of copied paths related to the user profile folder.

• Backup

  • Enabling long path support is now done through Unify scripting so it can be done through elevation.

• Hotkey Extender

  • Changed default hotkey to CTRL+SPACE

• Theme

  • Manually setting the background will no longer reset the counter. This means that when you restart Unify after having changed the background, Unify will no longer change the background again (unless the interval has passed).

• Image Browser

  • No longer will the selected item be reset after all images have been loaded.

• Global

  • Main window
    • Restarting Unify without elevation from a running Unify instance no longer opens Explorer instead of Unify.
  • Webbrowser
    • The Chromium cache will now always be located on the user's appdata\local\Unify folder instead of a custom data folder location (if set) as that could cause errors on some systems.
  • Settings
    • Fixed a bug causing the path variables not to be saved.

• Tools

  • Creating a desktop shortcut with a custom image now preserves the aspect ratio of that image.

• Clipboard

  • Clipboard action
    • Opening file path / parent folder now works for copied HTML content (if it contains a path).

• Theme

  • Improved automatic resizing to prevent resizing below screen dimensions (blurriness fix, especially noticeable on ultrawide monitors using widescreen wallpapers).
  • Fixed a bug causing the daily interval not to work.
