Highlights

New feature

We have added support for multiple emulators. DosBox was already supported, but now WinVICE too. So you can now also run Commodore64 games from Unify.

  • General
    • You can drag & drop .d64 (Commodore64 disk files) to the 'Specific folder' search. Also added 'Include excluded items' checkbox to 'Specific folder' search.

    • Added support for multiple emulators. For now DosBox and WinVICE are supported.

• Clipboard

  • Clipboard action
    • Added option to insert a path in Zip with options-action. This way you can quickly add individual files to a ZIP file with a specified folder structure. The list of paths is stored in settings to it can quickly be reused multiple times.

• Theme

  • Daily Bing images now show image description.
  • Added 'Change region' context menu item for Bing collection.
  • Added 'Paste background from clipboard' button which saves them to the selected collection. A context menu item already existed for this, but now also a clearly visible button.
  • Icons show if a collection is a 'system collection' like Spotlight and Bing.
  • Added Timezone preset editor button besides Timezone preset combobox.
  • Background paths now support path variables, like locations to OneDrive, so they can be ported to other PC's more easily.
  • Images in the list now show a Save icon to indicate if the image is saved inside the collection itself instead of an external location.
  • Can now drag & drop files from Windows Explorer to the image list.

  • Added option to import and export hotkeys through Unify settings.

• System

  • Process names will now show process filename and process description.
  • Added 'Run with Administrator Rights' option.
  • Can now run the System tool from the command line '/sysmon', allowing the tool to run in administrator mode.
  • Added Quit Unify button in the tools' options section, so you can now close the system tool when running it in the background in administrator mode.
  • Can now press the DELETE key to terminate a process and press DOWN to go to the listviews.
  • Searching the web will now use Google's AI-mode.

• Wishlist

  • Adding items from a webpage will now remove some irrelevant texts from the title, like 'Save 30% on Steam' and such, so we try to only get the relevant texts of the title.

    • Improved Addons link generation so search results on sites like Nexus provide more accurate results.
    • Faster configuration reading when starting a game.
  • Emulation
    • Moved from 'legacy' DosBox to DosBox Staging, being the latest - and still maintained - version of DosBox.

    • Searching for addons now uses the game title without suffixes like 'Enhanced Edition' and such. This should return better results on websites.

    • Improved store toolbar selection. Now Steam will be detected during checkout phase.

  • Games in your wishlist that are already in your Purchased Game Library will be shown with a reddish background.

  • Updated CefSharp web component.
  • Updated ImageMagick component to fix vulnerability.
  • Updated some other minor components.
  • Fixed several UI elements that did not support dynamic theme switcthing.

    • The Purchased Games list filter textbox now keeps working when the list is changed, for example when setting favorites.
    • Selecting items from the quick selection buttons (Select All, etc) now selects only shown items.
  • Stores
    • Steam store ID's are now properly imported again.

• Clipboard

  • Images are now preferred above HTML. Several browsers also copy an image in HTML format. This caused Unify to show the HTML in the clipboard history instead of the image. Of course the HTML is still shown for the current clipboard item. Only the clipboard history is changed by this fix as the history only shows the preferred format.

• Theme

  • Only supported images will now be shown in image listview, no longer other files, like thumbs.db.

• System

  • Fixed some errors when killing a process.

• Scripting

  • Fixed internal type cast error for lists.
